Father Paul Nomellini, chaplain for the council, will be offering a one hour seminar based on the booklet The Family Fully Alive:  Building The Domestic Church. The monthly seminar will be held on the second Saturday of each month at the K of C Hall.

The seminar is for all Catholic men of our local parishes, not only Knights of Columbus members, but all those who wish to grow as active leaders in their churches, families, and community.

The Supreme Knight Carl Anderson has stated “The family as domestic church is central to the work of the New Evangelization and to the future sustainability of our parishes.”

Bishop John Doerfler of the Diocese of Marquette recently published his Pastoral Letter on Evangelization- “Transforming Fire: A New Pentecost to form Spirit-Filled Evangelizers”.  Our council sees this effort as fitting into Bishop John’s directive that we become more effective evangelizers.

The Knights of Columbus Council 1585 are inviting all Catholic men to participate in this opening session of the seminar encouraging their reflection on strengthening our families, churches, and community.  Please help to spread the word, and plan to attend!
